About Us

The Alliance for a Just Philadelphia (A4JP) is an alliance of 35 organizations representing communities and workers from across the City. We work together to build community power, advocate for the issues that impact everyday Philadelphians, and organize community members to participate in the decision-making process within City Hall. 

As people who live and work in the City of Philadelphia, we are grounded in the impact that our elected officials, particularly Philadelphia’s City Council and Mayor, have on our everyday lives. We have a vision of a city where everyone can thrive and where safety is something tangible we can feel, not an empty promise. In order for this vision to be real, it means our elected leaders must be accountable to the people and invest in the services and public institutions our communities rely on.
